Backend Engineer (Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Azure Functions)

Design resilient services and APIs that power real-time matchmaking, lead flows, and event analytics at scale.

• Architect secure, observable APIs for matchmaking, events, and integrations.
• Own data models for attendees, organizers, sponsors, and interaction graphs.
• Enable growth: webhooks, billing, rate limits, quotas, and admin tooling.

• Build Node.js/Express services on Azure Functions and containers where needed.
• Model data in MongoDB with clear schemas, indexes, TTLs, and migrations.
• Integrate partners (Eventbrite, Ticketmaster) with robust webhooks.
• Create idempotent workflows, queues, and background jobs.
• Add tracing, metrics, and alerting (OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor, etc.).
• Collaborate with ML to productionize recommendation endpoints.

• 3+ years building production APIs for SaaS products.
• Strong Node.js/TypeScript, Express, MongoDB experience.
• Security mindset: authz/authn, secrets, least privilege, OWASP.
• Observability, CI/CD, and cloud costs hygiene.

• GraphQL, Redis/queueing, feature flags, and multi-tenant design.
• Partner integration experience in events/payments/CRM.

• Uptime, p95 latency, and error budget within SLOs.
• Successful partner integrations and data freshness.
• Healthy on-call with fast MTTR and actionable alerts.
